Warren bought the Scott S1, seen here, which was designed by Patrick Head 1n 1973. Most of the development work on the car was carried out by Warren, and its reliability gave warren over all victory in the 1976 and 78 Lancashire MRC Libre Championship, the 1977 Nottingham SCC Libre Championship, and runner-up award in the 1978 Northern Libre Championship.
