Taken at the 22nd of September meeting, this picture shows Nick Wattiez winning (second over all) his class in the Libre race. Race winner, and new class record of 1m.48.secs - 97.2 mp (156.4kph) was Andy Barton in his Lotus 69F, racing in the lower capacity up to 1600cc class.

This was a 1976 car which Alo raced in the Aurora F1 Championships. The engine was a Ford based 420R unit, built by Brian Hart, one of the foremost engine experts of the time, was later turbocharged and fitted to the Toleman Formula One car for the 1981 season and a variety of F1, until rule changes in 1987. Despite the extremely wet and slippery conditions, Alo out dragged Andy Barton to gain the lead of the race for the first few laps, Andy finally passed Alo and went on to win by over half a minute.
