Keith Messer had a long association with the 750 Motor Club's sports racer categories. During the early seventies he was driving a Messer GT, an enclosed sports car similar to the contemporary G5/7 Porsches, in F1300 predecessor, F1200. Keith was still racing sports car in 1983, when he had switched to Thundersports, driving a 2000cc, Lola T492.
