Norman Hodges was a stalwart of Special
Saloons throughout the 70s. He had previously driven a MkI Escort FVC sponsored by All Car Equip with great success. By the time
this photo was taken, only these silhouette type cars were winning the bigger classes and most drivers had moved over to them.

Designed
by Ray Jessop, this was one of the most standard looking Skodas to race. Chris Meek did have some success in its development year
but sold it to Alec Poole for the 1975 season. Alec Poole had a great deal of success in the 1975 Super Saloon Championships and
came second to Gerry Marshall and Baby
Bertha.

Billed as the Ultimate saloon, this car was built around a Lola CanAm car with a 7-litre, all-aluminium Chevrolet engine. See Mick Hill's
