This car (No. 51 above) has been raced by Eddie for many years and has taken part in many historic events including historic car races at Le Mans. Mainly the car is raced in Austin Healey club races but also makes occasional outing in other series such as Eddie's local one the Northern Sports and Saloon Championship. Eddie and his 3000 were in the first race at Croft since 1981, when they took part in the trail meeting of 1995. Many modifications have been made to the car over the years, below is an aluminium head which replaced the extremely heavy original. Also below is the lightened flywheel and newly reground crankshaft for the car
