First raced in 1960 by the likes of John Surtees, the T52 had stiff opposition from Lotus with the more powerful Cosworth engines. Its tubular, space frame chassis had a double wishbone front suspension, with coils springs, and at the rear, a transverse leaf spring with lower wishbones only. Cooper's own rack and pinion steering and magnesium wheel were also used. In total, 27 of these machines were built, 10 being sold as a kit of parts.
