This picture was taken at one of the Tricentrol British Saloon Car Championship race at Silverstone. Jeff started racing Karts at the age of 15, moving on to Special Saloons as soon as he was old enough. His father’s Vauxhall dealership influence his choice of a 2 litre Viva GT, which soon gained a full race, 2300c, Blyndenstien engine. During the 1975 and 1976 seasons he race in Production Saloons with a 2300cc Firenza for the first year, and then a 2300cc Magnum, winning the Britax Championship and the BBC Radio 1 under 21 award. From 1976 to 1980 he competed in Group One, driving Magnums, Capris and Rover V8s.
