This car harked back to Doug's car of the early seventies. After the demise of his 5700cc Boss Escort, he raced a
5700cc Boss
Capri, and later tried a more sophisticated approach with this 4-cylinder car. A lot of development went into its design including
university input into the aerodynamics. Doug went on to race the awesome 5000cc VW
Beetle Super Saloon with great success. Doug came from Duns in Scotland and, if my memory serves me well, was related to
Duns most famous son, Jim Clark
