Dennis moved on from the Jag-Ford to produce a BRM engined Escort before constructing this Chevy-Capri. The original, steel roof and doors were retained (unusual as these were the first items to be replaced
with light weight materials), the rest of the body being fibreglass. The 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 engine fed the power through a Jaguar V12 Gearbox and differential. Carburettors were 48IDA Weber down draughts. Wheels were 10 or 11 inch (25.4 or 28cms)
front, and 17 inch (43cms) rear.
