Barry Lee and George Pooley were the two top men in oval circuit, Hot Rod racing during the seventies. Barry with his Escort and George with his Anglia, with which he took the 1976 Hot Rod World Championship and still races today. George's car, pictured here, complied with the Historic/Classic saloon car regulations and featured an all steel body , an all steel, pushrod engine with twin webers and a full race Kent cam.
