John McDonald was one of the last true Mod Sports driver because he often drove his car to the circuit, raced it and drove it home. Having a Morgan dealership, still situated in Lanchester, Co. Durham, John's car was no
ordinary car; it features twin superchargers, one for each bank of cylinders. One of the most memorable sights of the seventies was John's large beard being forced backwards by the wind at high speed. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |
