The standard engine was Ford's 1500cc pre-crossflow unit; this car was fitted with the less powerful 1300cc version to compete in those Modified Sports Car championships which had an up to 1300cc class. Reg raced at Croft and Ingliston (where this photo was taken) on a regular basis and later moved on to Clubman racing.
