Bill began his racing career at Greenacres Circuit, Ontario, Canada during the 1960 season, driving an MGA. He was working for the
Canadian Champion Ed Leavens at the time. After 4 seasons of sports car racing in Canada and the US, he returned to Britain in 1965. During the 1978 season, he drove an ex-works Ginetta G4 in the Dick Portheroe
Modsports Championship, coming 2nd overall. During the 1979 season he equalled the 11501–1500cc class record at Aintree. The G4 featured and independent rear suspension, Formula 1, ventilated disks and a dry-sumped,

Ian’s racing career started with autotests, sprints and road rallying. He bought his Ginetta G4 in 1975, with the
intensions of using it for sprints. The car was immediately successful, wining its class on its first outing, which encouraged Ian to take up circuit racing. During the 1978 season he competed in the Dick
