Outwardly there is little visible difference between the Mk6 and The Mk 7, the difference lies in the types of engine/gearbox combination the Mk7, and Mk8, will accept. Up to Mk5, Davrians were exclusively Imp based, some Mk6s were also fitted with mini engines and gearboxes, but from Mk 7 onward Hewland and Renault transaxles could be installed, meaning most types of engines including Cosworth BDAs could be used. Bob Jarvis and Pat Longhurst are still considered the greatest exponents of this marque and their driving ability is legendary.
