Bob Jarvis raced Davrians for many years and an earlier version can be seen on the right, lifting a wheel at the chicane. Bob, and his car were regular competitors at Croft and always has stiff opposition from other Davrians. The popularity of this car for racing stems from the excellent Imp engine and suspension which were good in standard form and outstanding when tweaked for racing. The body is a fibreglass monocoque with foam filled voids to stiffen the chassis. As a lot of Davrians were used for racing, the factory produced a lightweight versions for this purpose.

Manufactured: 1967-83
Engine: Imp 998cc
Configuration:rear engine, rear-wheel drive
Driver: Bob Jarvis
Class: Modified Sports Cars up to 1150cc
Date taken: June 1977 at Start, Croft
Even in 998cc form the Imp based sports cars were so fast that the likes of the Spitfire and Spridgets had little chance in the up to 1150cc class. A testament to Bob's racing skill can be seen from the lap record table, only the 1800cc Ginetta G4 of John Absalom was faster around Croft. Bob held the up to 1150cc class record in his Mk 6 Davrian at 87.02mph, 0.24mph slower the the G4.
