Clan crusaders were manufactured between 1971 and 1974 a few miles up the A1(M) from Croft, at Washington Co. Durham, just a stones throw from the present day Nissan plant at Sunderland. Three hundred and fifty Clans were built originally with a further 125 made in Ireland between 1982 and 87. Twenty-five, Clan Clovers, Fiat twin-cam models, were also built in the mid 80's. This car was part of the Clan's works team (racing and rallying) with Johnnie Blades driving the Modsports car.
